Roof Repair Alexandria

Hi, my name is Ken, and I am from Roof.net. I’m in Alexandria for a roof repair, and as you can see, they have blown-off shingles here and all the shingles in this area here are all loose. The reason for it is the contractors who originally installed the roof, they nailed too high, and when you nail too high, it makes it very easy for the wind to get underneath and blow the shingles off.

So, what we need to do to correct this problem is replace the damaged felt paper, re-shingle this problem area, and refasten all the shingles around this problem area, because they’re all loose as well, and do the same thing over here, refasten all these shingles.

Once those two areas are corrected, we then apply Geocel Tripolymer sealant to the underside of the shingles so that the shingles become fully adhered within an hour’s time, and then this homeowner in Alexandria will not have any problems with roof repair due to blown off shingles in these two areas.

The homeowner mentioned to me that, “That’s all fine and good, but I’ve had this problem on four different occasions, throughout the back of the house.”

I said, “Well, you have two options. Either you replace the roof by stripping everything off down to the bare wood and doing a whole new roof to the back side of the house, or a cheaper way to do it is to lift up each and every one of these shingles and refasten them correctly.”

Once all the shingles are lifted up carefully and refastened, we then apply Geocel Tripolymer sealant to the underside of every single shingle, so this way here, they’ll all be fully adhered and this Alexandria homeowner will not have to worry about a roof repair due to blown off shingles ever again for many years to come.

So, if you live in Alexandria, and you’re looking for a roof repair or a roof replacement, please give us a call at 703-303-8546, or kindly fill out the form on Roof.net.

Thank you very much for watching this video.
